Job Description

MATRIX is seeking an experienced Ramp Attendant located at our facility at the airport in Iqaluit, Nunavut. You are team oriented, motivated, and have acute attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent time management skills. Start date for this position will be as soon as possible.


Primary Responsibilities


  • Report all incidents and accidents immediately
  • Report unsafe conditions and equipment to General Manager
  • Participate in daily Toolbox meetings
  • Preparation of worksite
  • Load and Unload aircraft
  • Wear required Personal Protection Equipment as required
  • Ensure PPE is maintained as per care and cleaning instructions
  • Ensure good housekeeping in the work area at all times
  • Actively participate as a high performing, team member
  • Perform tasks as per safe work practices and safe job procedures
  • Loading and Unloading of passengers
  • Keep walkways and work areas clear
  • Support monthly worksite inspections


Requirements


  • Able to lift and move heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time, and perform physical labor
  • Able to maintain a high level of performance over a 10 – 12 hour shift
  • Highly motivated, team-oriented individual with attention to detail
  • Reliable
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Good customer service skills
  • OFA Level 1 is preferred (not required)
  • Must hold or have the ability to qualify for a valid airport RAIC card (Requires clean criminal record to obtain)
  • Hard working

Day rate of $300.00 - based on up to a 12 hour shift.


4 weeks on, 2 weeks off rotation
