Capital Helicopters is looking for individual who thrives in dynamic situations, has past experience in high-stress settings, and exhibits strong decision making and problem-solving skills. You would be exposed to situations that require extreme attention to detail and self governance. You would have to understand and follow strict aviation regulations. This position requires you to have a broad understanding of multiple area's with-in Capital Helicopters Maintenance department. You would be a key player in the team that makes all our helicopters safe and ready to fly all across our beautiful northern landscape.
Job description: This job has two key roles in Capital Helicopters maintenance department. The first Maintenance Coordinator is to ensure that the logistics of the department or being carried out in a swift and controlled manner. This will include communications with other Capital Helicopters departments and all maintenance staff members. The quality Assurance Management side of this role will entail an ongoing overall knowledge of controlled documents and the maintenance tracking systems.
Role and Responsibilities:
Close communication with the Director of Maintenance and the Technical Records manager.
Constant communication with Capitals operations department and all maintenance staff members
Assisting the DOM with revising and maintaining the Maintenance Control Manual and Maintenance Policy Manual
Maintenance planning, delegation of required tasks and ensuring completion of the AMO’s operational needs.
In conjunction with the DOM create and maintain QA policies and processes
Ensuring completion of the AMO’s performance audits (this includes internal and external Transport Canada audits)
Primary - Shipping and receiving
Primary - Maintaining accuracy in Capital’s maintenance parts inventory and all required traceability control measures.
Primary - updating and monitoring Capital Helicopters online maintenance tracking database
Primary - Create, accept, close, and monitor Purchase Orders
Primary - Creating or amending any AMO related documents
Secondary - Continuously review all Capital Helicopters aircraft journey logs for errors and make corrections
Secondary - Aircraft work order administrations tasks
Note: Most of the duties with-in Capital Helicopters Maintenance department have redundancy. This ensures accuracy and guarantied completion if the primary task holder is away or other wise engaged. The Primary and second roles listed above are shared with either the Technical Records Manager or the Director of Maintenance.
Things that may set you apart from other candidates:
Experience with Transport Canada or large governing bodies
Post secondary education degree
logistics training or experience
formal audit certifications or experience
working around aviation(preferable helicopters)
knowledge of mechanical or engineering systems
Excel and word experience
