Job Description
The Supply Chain Capabilities team works on strategic initiatives across all banners to ensure that the supply chain of the future supports the key strategic themes of the company – growth, eCommerce, customer experience and operational efficiencies.


The TMS (Transportation Management System) Project is a multi-year, enterprise-wide implementation impacting several hundred users across the Supply Chain organization.


We are looking for a Project Lead to support and coordinate testing and implementation activities for the TMS and E2E Visibility Projects. This includes supporting key project deliverables and monitoring operational readiness activities. The Project Lead will work closely with the TMS Program business team, and partner with the IT Quality Lead and Scrum Master to organize and support testing and implementation activities.


This position will provide you with the opportunity to apply your change management, project management, communication, and business process experience. Using your advanced collaboration skills and project management experience you will collaborate and partner with cross-functional teams to identify stakeholder impacts, risks and design change plans.


What You’ll Do


  • Act as central point of contact for business project team in coordination of day/day and week/week activities for all phases of testing and implementation
  • Track planned vs actual units of work (stories) completed and ensure team members are aligned to targets.
  • Partner with IT and external partners to drive the issue resolution process.
  • Partner with business and IT leadership to define testing entrance/exit criteria.
  • Escalate issues to other workstream leads, or leadership as appropriate.
  • Have a high-level understanding of solution & business processes to be able to effectively guide and direct activities.
  • Contribute to project status reports and leadership updates as required.
  • Work closely with team members to understand the scope of testing.
  • Capture dependencies, impacts, and risks that haven’t previously been identified.
  • Partner with IT Quality Project Lead to refine project structure for planning and support team in conducting testing activities.
  • Regularly and consistently facilitate and manage the adoption of change plans and techniques within the business units.
  • Provide coaching and support on continuing to build project management and agile skills on the team.
  • Partner with IT Quality Project Lead, and Solution Integrator to ensure business, IT, and vendor partner teams are in sync on upcoming activities and have proactively planned activities to support testing and implementation.

  • Highly motivated and a self-starter.
  • Additional Assets:
  • Previous experience working in an Agile environment and has knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills; comfortable speaking in front of large and executive audiences.
  • Supply Chain knowledge preferably in Transportation & Yard Management
  • Action oriented, and comfortable taking calculated risks to better serve our customers and business.
  • Creative and courageous, with the ability to manage in an environment of change and ambiguity.
  • Collaborative team players with superior influencing skills, who build relationships easily across various stakeholder groups to move initiatives forward.
  • Outcome focused, critical thinkers with the ability to analyze and visualize, to ensure continuous improvement across our entire business.
