The Yukon Government Department of Highways and Public Works is seeking highly skilled and motivated individuals to join our team as Program Managers of Asset Management. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in driving strategic improvements in asset management within the transportation infrastructure, vertical infrastructure, and fleet asset management domains.
Position 1: Program Manager - Asset Management (Transportation Infrastructure). As the Program Manager Asset Management in Transportation Infrastructure, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative strategies to improve the management of our transportation assets. Your expertise will be instrumental in the development and implementation of new Asset Management programs, systems, and frameworks to support better asset management planning, optimizing life-cycle costs, and ensuring the efficient utilization of resources in this domain.
Position 2: Program Manager - Asset Management (Vertical Infrastructure). In the role of Program Manager Asset Management for Vertical Infrastructure, you will lead the efforts to enhance the management of our vertical assets. Your responsibilities will include developing long-term capital and preventative maintenance plans, implementing asset condition assessment programs, developing Asset Management Plans for key asset classes and leveraging data-driven insights to optimize asset performance and sustainability within this domain.
Position 3: Program Manager - Asset Management (Fleet Asset Management). As the Program Manager Asset Management for Fleet Assets, your primary focus will be on developing and implementing strategies to optimize the management of our diverse Transportation Division fleet. You will be responsible for streamlining asset purchase and disposal and inventory management processes, developing and implementing an asset performance monitoring program, developing an Asset Management Plan for Transportation Division Fleet, leveraging performance monitoring and prediction data to optimize asset performance, reduce downtime and cost of ownership by ensuring the cost-effective utilization of our fleet assets.

Essential Qualifications (what we’re looking for in your resume):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field;
  • Experience managing large programs and staff;
  • Experience with asset management principles, methodologies, and best practices;
  • Project management experience and certification (PMP or similar) would be an asset.
  • Experience in specific domain – either transportation infrastructure, vertical infrastructure or fleet asset management;
