Position Description

Emtec is seeking a Principal Front End/UI Developer to join our team. For this role we are looking for someone who has both a strong hands on/technical coding background with UI Frameworks like ReactJS, Micro Frontends, and cloud technologies, as well as someone with strong communication, presentation, and teamwork abilities. In addition to hands on coding, you will also be involved gathering requirements, interfacing and presenting to stakeholders, participating in technical discussions & architectural reviews, and coordinating with Offshore & Technical Teams. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about software development who enjoys hands-on development, but is also looking for leadership responsibility as well.

Core Technology Stack: In this role you will primarily be working with ReactJS, TypeScript, CSS on a Cloud based web application deployed on Azure.

Employment Type: This a full time, permanent position with benefits.

Workplace: Remote, working from home. Time zone will be in Central Standard Time (CST).

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Collaborating with the Product Manager, Technical Architects, Offshore Team, and other developers to design and build applications.
• Staying current on software engineering trends & tools, and be practical but open-minded in applying them
• Maintaining a high bar for quality and performance of your product with vigorous attention to detail and unit testing
• Working with ReactJS using TypeScript, understanding of Micro Frontend architecture and Azure on a Cloud based web application.
• Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Engaging in the full development life cycle including architectural design and testing
• Continuously improving how we design, build, and ship software as a highly functional team

Must Have Skills

• Comfortable interfacing with the customer and gathering requirements
• 10-15 years of experience developing UI Development using various frameworks
• Knowledge of REACT tools including ReactJS, Webpack, and Redux
• Familiarity with Webpack , yarn and other build tools
• Exposure to system design is a plus
• Knowledge of performance testing frameworks including Mocha and Jest
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps
• Prior experience in a working with offshore team
• 5+ years of experience of development experience with ReactJS and TypeScript
• Experience with user interface design
• Familiarity with Micro Frontend Architecture
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and front-end languages
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript based frameworks
