On behalf of our Client Procom is looking for a Power BI Developer Remote Regina Saskatchewan for a 2 years month contract.

Power BI Developer
Job Details:

• Train and support business users on how to use the Power BI solutions effectively
• Design and develop business intelligence solutions using on-premises and cloud data sources using the Power BI platform
• Ensure data accuracy and quality by implementing appropriate data validation and cleansing techniques
• Work with data scientist and database administrators to design and implement data models that support the business intelligence solutions
• Optimize reports and data loads for increased performance and scalability
• Writing business requirements, technical specifications, documentation, and user guides on developed products
• Stay up to date with the latest Power BI features and best practices
• Develop and maintain documentation for the business intelligence solutions
• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and requirements
• Troubleshoot and debug issues with Power BI reports and dashboards
• Develop dataflows to centralize data preparation

Power BI Developer Must Have Skills:

• Must have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in a senior role in Power BI including using SharePoint as a data source with complex columns in use (people, managed metadata, lookup columns). Relevant experience to be within the last two (2) years.
• Strong working knowledge of data visualization options, including visualizations appropriate for leadership consumption
• Working knowledge implementing row-level security in Power BI

Power BI Developer resource(s) shall have knowledge and experience with the following
Software applications or platforms, but not limited to:

• SQL databases as data source
• Oracle databases as data source
• Power Query
• Power BI Desktop
• DAX
• Data Modeling and Data Warehousing Concepts
• Dataflows
• On-premises data gateways
• Power BI Service
• SharePoint as data source

Some of the other data sources that may be used to build the reporting are:

• ServiceNow
• Post-secondary education in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other post-secondary education acceptable to SaskTel
• Salesforce
• SAP
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate and other relevant certifications are desired (i.e.: Power BI Data Analyst Associate; Azure Enterprise Data Analyst Associate)
