Plant Accountant - Contract To Hire

Based in East Edmonton, a global Manufacturing organization is seeking an immediate Plant Accountant for a Contract to Hire opportunity, Reporting to the Operations Controller, the successful candidate will be the primary Accountant for the Edmonton facility. The Plant Accountant will be handling Month end for inventory and production, Financial Analysis for multiple departments, monthly and quarterly forecasting, budgeting, and cost accounting. There will be occasional travel to sites within 100km of Edmonton - access to a vehicle will be required
Location - East Edmonton, local presence is required
100% Office based until training is complete - after which a hybrid environment is available

Responsibilities

• Budgeting, Forecasting - for operations and production
• Variance analysis, margin and production analysis
• Site visits to work closely with Plant/Production Managers
• Full cycle Accounting - completion of month end

Qualifications

• Preference for Manufacturing or Production industry experience
• Proficiency with IFRS, US GAAP, and SOX
• Strong analyst background - variance analysis, margin analysis
• CPA designation, or near final stages of completion
• 5+ years of full cycle Accounting - including month end completion
• Inventory reconciliation
