- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members
- Manage installations and upgrades of LAN/WAN equipment in both the data center and facilities.
- Day to day support regarding performance issues or network connectivity issues
- Lead network infrastructure changes including new designs or redesigns of network components

- Perform IOS upgrades
- Extensive knowledge with Routing and Switching fundamentals
- Extensive experience with the following Cisco devices:
- Routers – Branch/Datacenter (ISR/ASR)
- Switches – LAN/Core/Distribution/Datacenter (Catalyst/Nexus)
- Firewalls – ASA/NGFW, IPS Source Fire/Firepower
- ITIL service delivery concepts, with a focus on Change, Incident, Problem and Service request management
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Security Protocols - VPN, IPSEC, GETVPN, TLS, SSL
- Video over IP and Voice over IP experience with a solid understanding of QoS protocols would be an asset
- Record of delivering large scale IT technology refreshes or evergreen programs
- Protocols – SNMP, SSH, Telnet, ICMP, CDP
- Working experience supporting VPN technologies such as IPSEC, DMVPN and GETVPN
- Network Protocols – TCP/UDP, FTP, SFTP, TFTP, SMTP, HTTP/HTTPS, SIP, DHCP, DNSManagement
- Experience supporting ADC (Application Delivery Controller) Load Balancers such as F5 or Citrix
- Knowledge of Enterprise Monitoring concepts and network related tools such as packet sniffers
- Routing protocols - OSPF,EIGRP, IGRP, BGP
- Working experience with WAN technologies (MPLS,VPLS, SD-WAN, Internet/DSL, ISDN)
- Experience supporting an enterprise wireless network would be an asset

- Ability to write a variety of detailed, accurate and clear (technical) material such as user, systems and requirements documentation and procedures, project plans, letters, requests for proposals, feasibility studies, recommendations and reports, at a level appropriate to the target groups.

- Ability to independently interpret, comprehend and apply technical instructions and concepts to successfully acquire, install, modify, configure and maintain hardware and software components and administer networks.

- Ability to independently prioritize and organize one’s own workload to meet tight deadlines and successfully complete projects in a changing environment.
- Ability to identify, explore and evaluate options on data, processes and methodologies, information technology and potential systems design to make feasible recommendations.
- Ability to design new or adapt existing systems/applications taking into account design alternatives, business requirements, and cost, resource and time constraints.
