The Team:
As part of our growing team, you’ll work closely with our mortgage coordinators, specialists and lenders to ensure that we find the most effective solutions for our clients. If you love a fast paced environment where growth is constant, you’ll fit right in with this team!
The Role:
As a Senior Mortgage Underwriter, you’ll facilitate the adjudication and packaging of mortgage deals brought into our system from across the country. You’ll work closely with our clients and lenders to ensure that all opportunities are efficiently and effectively allocated to an appropriate lending solution. You’ll be an integral part of enabling Neo to improve our market position and deliver revenue through the promotion of a full range of financing products and services through an exceptional client experience!
What you’ll be doing:
  • Liaise closely with clients & coordinators on status updates for active mortgage files
  • Remain current on the latest industry trends to secure a competitive advantage
  • Develop proficiency in the functionality and features of products, services, tools, technology, and Salesforce CRM capabilities
  • Execute skilled and clear communication with borrowers to ensure their understanding of the mortgage process, expectations and documentation required
  • As an ambassador of Neo, execute consistent brand messages through repeatable and measurable process touches that will continually engage, promote, service, and solicit new business leads and cross-sell opportunities
  • Successfully deliver mortgages from the application stage through to funding with the support of your Mortgage Coordinator
  • Work with Credit Manager on complex files where standard lending solutions have been exhausted and you need support
  • Review key documentation for lender submission and ensure that all parties are in receipt of required documents
  • Act as first level of support for Mortgage Associates and Mortgage Coordinators while mentoring them along the way
  • Utilize a hands-on approach and problem-solving skills to make prudent decisions on complex mortgage files

  • You're highly organized with exceptional time management capabilities
  • You have superior communication skills both verbal and written
  • You hold a current Mortgage Associate license
  • You have 2 years of previous experience in the mortgage lending industry
