Mechanical Engineer - Can

We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Mechanical Engineer. The selected candidate must be licensed as a Professional Engineer with Engineers Nova Scotia.
This position is responsible for the completion of mechanical engineering design, investigation and management of multiple projects of varying scope and complexity.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Developing design drawings and specifications
• Coordinating with disciplines internally as well as externally with Consultants/Architects
• Preparing tender documents
• Conducting and attending site visits
• Designing HVAC and Plumbing Systems for retrofit and new construction for Commercial and high-rise residential buildings
• Preparing site reports

Requirements & Qualifications

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT, Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Self-motivating and ability to multi-task while maintaining a strong attention to detail
• Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
• Bilingualism in English and French would be considered an asset
• Good oral and written English communication skills
• Ability to provide leadership to junior engineers/technicians
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer with Engineers Nova Scotia
• Ability to act with business integrity and professionalism
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
• Professional experience working on structural restoration projects
