Material Handler /Kitting Coordinator - (Day Shift)

Title: Material Handler /Kitting Coordinator
Reports to: Warehouse Manager
Schedule: Day Shift/ Monday - Thursday, 5AM - 3:30PM (10hrs, 4 days)
Pay: $19+/hr
Summary: Material Handler /Kitting Coordinator participates on a high performance work team in a fast paced environment that is responsible for all material handling activities including inbound, outbound and to internal Value Streams. Also, has responsibility for inventory accuracy and material preservation.
Duties/Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Under the guidance of the Warehouse Advisor is accountable for participating in and sustaining lean practices.
• Responsible for receiving, storing and restocking materials in accordance with company procedures to maintain quality standards.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.; occasionally up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
• Inspect physical condition of warehouse and suggest maintenance repair as necessary.
• Complete inspection of forklifts as required.
• Responsible for properly shipping products according to work instructions.
• Responsible for completing Level I inspection of incoming materials as needed.
• Perform warehouse cycle counts to ensure accurate inventories.
• Ensure Value Stream Managers have all necessary materials to complete jobs by the due date or information is communicated to Advisor or Value Stream Manager on missing materials before they are needed.
• Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment and reporting to management any unsafe working conditions.

Training/Education/Experience

• High School education or equivalent.
• Experience with roll stock preferred.
• Previous inventory control experience.
• Proficient PC skills, Microsoft
• Forklift driving experience required; current certification a plus.
• Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Previous experience with shipping/receiving in a warehouse environment
