Maintenance Technician Jobs

The Role

As a Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for contributing to the company’s operational performance through maintenance program compliance and work order scheduling including reactive and preventative maintenance for technical and non-technical components.

You Will

• Understand and lead compliance with both Health and Safety and Food Safety practices.
• Escalate recurring problems to supervisor and work on eliminating them.
• Participate in cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist outside contractors and ensure GMP policies are being adhered to.
• Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment including food mixer, slab forming machine, horizontal wrapper, robotic pick and place system, case packer, tunnel oven, conveyors, etc.
• Perform work in accordance with established maintenance processes and practices including but not limited to recording work done, recording data for analysis, logging spare parts consumed, cleaning up work area, etc.
• Attend breakdown calls. Independently troubleshoot and resolve both mechanical and electrical issues.
• Provide technical assistance / advice in Preventive Maintenance optimization effeffortsort.
• Perform minor repairs, equipment set up, changeover, overhaul, and fabrication as needed.

You Have

• Ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics
• Licensed as a Millwright Mechanic (433) and/or Electrician (442A, 309A) would be a strong asset!
• Working experience with equipment such as vertical wrapper, horizontal wrappers, robotics pick and place, tunnel oven isan asset
• Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
• 5+ years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician, Millwright Mechanic, and/or Electrician
• Knowledge of PLC, robotics, HMIs, and controlspreferred
• Proven machining skills using lathes, milling, and drill press
• Hands-on experience with the following isa plus:power transmission systems, electric/electronic controls, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, welding, brazing, and soldering, servo and electric motors, lubrication types and systems
