Wicehtowak Frontec Services (WFS) is a partnership between George Gordon Developments Ltd. (GGDL) and ATCO Frontec Ltd. The majority Indigenous-owned company provides camp and support services for remote workforce housing projects. Description:


Wicehtowak Frontec Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Jansen, SK. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing various skilled and semi-skilled tasks to maintain a 24/7 facilities operation. Responsibilities include maintaining the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.


Where We Work and Live:


The Jansen Discovery Lodge is a workforce housing facility in support of the Jansen potash mine. The camp is located 155 kilometers east of Saskatoon, SK.


Our positions work on a 14 days on, 7 days off rotation. Accommodations and meals during your work rotations are provided by the company.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensure all operations meet and comply Customer regulations, federal and provincial health and safety legislations, regulations and corporate policies
  • Performs building repairs including drywall, paint, flooring, carpentry, ceiling tile and grid
  • Perform routine maintenance jobs and repairs
  • Respond quickly and thoroughly to changes in client requirements and amendments in scope
  • Follow Health and Safety Policies and Safe Work practices
  • Monitor daily temperature and humidity and report any problems or concerns to management
  • Performs daily site inspections of the facilities and mechanical equipment to ensure proper operations.
  • Logging all work completed in maintenance management software
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on plumbing systems (leaking faucet, plodded toilets, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Provide a report to the management team noting any problems found
  • Responsible for the completion of all maintenance services requests as assigned


Qualifications:


  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Strong knowledge of safe work practices and procedure typical form maintenance operations
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Work well under pressure
  • Abilities to work safely with a wide variety of hand and power tools and materials
  • Highly experienced with vendor management in a 24/7 operation with a strong customer focus
  • Basic PC skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Outlook.
  • 3 or more years’ experience in a similar position and environment
  • Professional communication skills, oral, and written
  • Effectively solve problems
