Job Description

Job Title:Onsite Nurse/Paramedic/LPN/RPN/EMT

Job Location:Bolton,ON

Job Duration: 3-4 months Contract (possibility of extension or becoming permanent)

Working hours:6 PM - 4 AM. Sunday - Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday


Our client is a fortune 500 company looking for a Medical Representative who will provide functions such as: First Aid to injured or ill employees and proactively analyze tasks for potential safety issues.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Attending weekly associate safety committee meetings, greeting all new hires for the site, either within a group setting at New Hire Orientation or throughone-on-one interaction.
  • Provide analysis of allonsite incidentsona monthly basis including recommendationsonhow to reduce the risk and severity of injuries
  • Participate, as needed, in incident investigations and weekly case management review meetings.
  • Provide daily activity logs to the safety team and senior leadership team.
  • Frequent “floor time” to interact with both associates and managers. Attend and speak at “start-up” meetings.
  • Update the communication board with medical and safety tips
  • Maintain all records of treatment given to associates.
  • Maintain first-aid kits, inventory supplies, restock and clean equipment used in the treatment of associates.
  • Provide triage, first-aid to workers who are injuredonill inthe workplace


Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience as a full time EMT/RN/RPN responding to emergency calls
  • Strong analytical skills: analyze accident data, new processes, and machinery for potential safety concerns and conduct job hazard and job safety analyses.
  • Ability to communicate safety needs at all levels of the organization
  • Valid EMT, PCP, RN, or RPN credentials in the Province you would be practicing in
  • Must have a valid card evidencing successful completion of a CPR course at the Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider level (Canadian Heart Association) or Professional Rescuer (Canadian Red Cross)
