We are currently seeking casual Life Skills Workers to join our team at Tamarack Cottage in Cranbrook, B.C.

Life Skills Workers play an important role in care. They plan, observe, monitor and report on clients’ progress and level of acceptance to services and support.

They assist clients with activities associated with daily living and work to demonstrate and model appropriate behaviors related to problem solving and decision making.

• Household management;
• Time management;
• Personal care;
• Organization and interpersonal communication;
• Menu planning, grocery shopping, meal preparation and
• Community access.
• Money management, budgeting skills, how to access funds and other forms of available assistance;

The shifts for this position are Days, Nights from 07:00 to 19:10, 19:00 to 07:10 hours
About this location/unit
Tamarack Cottage is a seven-bed tertiary care facility for clients requiring longer-term residential psychosocial rehabilitation. 5 beds are Tertiary Specialized Residential and 2 beds are Tertiary Rehabilitative. Treatment is coordinated with community mental health teams.
