As part of the Bombardier Business Aircraft group, the Quality Leader is responsible to ensure quality of the product, efficiency of the department and customer's satisfaction, as well as managing human, financial and material resources of the department. He/she will ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with approved policies, processes and procedures.


In your role, you will:


  • Manage the budgets of the assigned group, ensure the quality of the product as well as the productivity of employees (+/- 25 employees)
  • Ensure continuous improvement, in particular through the use of the problem-solving process
  • Coach your team to develop talent within the organization.
  • Exercise your leadership while respecting the vision and values of Bombardier
  • Establish and control the achievement of production objectives by planning, organizing, motivating and coordinating the activities of a group assigned to the assembly of the Dorval plant
  • Identify, document and standardize key processes leading to the achievement of objectives and share best practices within the organization


OR


  • Be responsible for the local Health and Safety Plan;
  • Ensure all workplace programs (safety, tool control, etc) are adhered to
  • Enforce all regulations, policies, and procedures related to the activities being performed
  • Plan and assign workload in accordance with approved procedures and standards
  • Be responsible for the safe operation of equipment by enforcement of all pertinent safety standards and proper work habits
  • Allocate resources, as necessary to meet scheduled and unscheduled commitments
  • Coordinate activities with other department so as to achieve optimum efficiency with the personnel, equipment, facilities and resources
  • Be responsible for compliance with all aspects of the established quality system within Bombardier including continual improvement and customer satisfaction requirements
  • Ensure proper documentation of all aircraft related activities
  • Organize, control, and direct staff (+/1 25) for the provision of aircraft production activities, planning and control
  • Maintain knowledge of production directives, policies, instructions, procedures, programs and plans.


As our ideal candidate,


  • You hold good interpersonal and communication skills (French and English)
  • You have a knowledge of Lean methodology
  • You have an Engineering degree or College Diploma in Aerospace, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • You have a good knowledge of Airworthiness Regulations and Standards (TCCA/FAA/JAA) and ISO/AS 9001 standards
  • You hold a minimum of four (4) years’ experience in supervising all areas of aircraft maintenance, including servicing, unscheduled, scheduled maintenance
