Position Title: Licensed Lead Hand Carpenter.

Position Type: Full-time, permanent.

Daily operation hours include Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm. Hours can vary due to job site scheduling and conditions.



Description of duties:

• Review scope of work for each job site with staff and sub trades daily.
• Ensuring tasks being completed are as designed and within scope.
• Communicate effectively with the team and meet deadlines established.
• Communicate effectively with sub trades and suppliers.
• Communicate effectively with our client’s daily ensuring project success. Complete daily job logs with our management software.
• Report back to the project coordinator with any changes made to products/materials or schedule.
• Responsible for project budgets and reporting change orders.
• Responsible for on-site safety and supervision of team members, materials and sub trades.
• Communicate with the health and safety rep to ensure job site protocols/regulations are up to date. Engage in weekly safety meetings.
• Work alongside fellow carpenters, apprentices and laborers completing daily tasks.
• A positive can-do attitude, working safely, have fun and execute with perfection : )


What we’re looking for:

● 10 years of Carpentry experience & knowledge (Renovations, Remodels & Home Building).
● Valid Drivers License
● 2-3 years of supervision experience.
● Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter (403A).
● Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
● Multi-tasking to manage a large diverse workload.
● Possess great time management & organizational skills.
● Ability to contribute and collaborate to a high-functioning team as well as working independently.
● Ability to read and interpret construction blue prints.
● Familiar with most of Part 9 of the OBC.
● Ability to determine and delegate responsibilities in a timely manner and manage the process.
● Ability to problem solve and critical thinking on the fly.
● Ability to supervise 1-2 apprentices daily with the sub trades on site.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Programs & Co-construct is an asset.
● Additional certifications is an asset.
COMPENSATION:

● Wage will vary upon experience, knowledge and skill level. $30 - $40 hourly.
