Laundry/Housekeeping Aide Part Time

Country Lane is looking for a Housekeeper to join our team.

The ideal person for this position has experience, enjoys working individually and as a team, is well-spoken, energetic, and personable.

Key Responsibilities

Cleans areas according to assigned schedules using appropriate cleaning and sanitation methods and procedures.

Such cleaning will include, but not be limited to, furniture, washroom fixtures, walls, ceilings, lights, vents and windows.

Operates floor care machines and steam cleaning equipment and strips, scrubs, spray buffs and refinishes all carpet and non-carpet floor surfaces.

Vacuums carpet areas

Washes and disinfects long stay and discharge beds.

Removes and hangs drapes and privacy curtains.

Moves all furnishings and personal belongings of residents.

Picks up garbage and incontinent pads and transports to designated areas.

Adapts cleaning schedule to meet the needs of the residents and other scheduled activities.

Adheres to established facility policies and procedures, including safety rules and safe working practices.

Performs other duties as assigned by the Environmental Manager.

Prepare documentation as required according to facility policy.

Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds at times
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Detail-oriented, confidential, and professional
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and reach, bend, lift and pull
• High school diploma or GED preferred
