Job Description

Overview


Roustabout safely and efficiently perform all manual labor tasks throughout the HT&P pipeline site and TDW HT&P service centers. Responsible for supporting operations including repairing maintaining and transporting equipment and parts as needed.


Responsibilities


General Manual Labor (80%)


  • Use common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, Facility & Job
  • Assist with work associated with HT&P operations.
  • Lay and pick up hydraulic lines, air-lines, electric lines, power units, and essential equipment for the tapping and plugging of pipelines.
  • Assist HT&P technicians, mechanics, and other service center employees as needed.
  • Operate company vehicle between shop and various locations to transport equipment and personnel.
  • Operate cranes, hoists, or other moving or lifting equipment as authorized at TDW facilities.
  • Assists with the maintenance and repairs of TDW tools and equipment
  • Load and unload field materials and equipment onto trucks for safe transport.
  • Operate forklift, moving and relocating supplies, fittings, and equipment within TDW facilities
  • Administrative duties.


Site Maintenance (10%)


  • Clean and maintain work area around customer pipelines as directed by HT&P Field Technician.
  • Maintain service center facilities and surroundings (housekeeping).
  • Performs housekeeping HSE procedures as required.


Continuous Improvement (5%)


  • Enhances and implements approved safety procedures to ensure the personal safety of all parties.
  • Effectively responds to internal customer’s requests and solves various shop or field related problems, as they arise.
  • Develops the required experience, skill, and behavior competencies to be eligible to promote into TDW Field Technician Trainee, Mechanic Trainee or other career path.


Administrative (5%)


  • Performs other tasks as may be required from time to time by management.
  • Prepares and submits expense reports in accordance with established procedures.


Experience


  • Experience in energy or oil gas, pipeline, and water & sewage industry a plus, - Mechanical training preferred.
  • Ability to understand and execute the proper use of lifting equipment, such as cranes and forklifts to move tools within shop area.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, in English.
  • Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skill.
  • High school diploma/GED required, Vocational Certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with the safe application of small power and hand tools such as drills, hand and table saws, grinders, etc.
  • Two years of experience disassembling and maintaining mechanical components in a related field preferred.
  • Willing to travel extensively.
