Forbes Bros. Ltd. is currently looking for an experienced Laborer (full-time) to join our FB Connect - Electric Vehicle Charging Stations team! This position will support projects with the installation of electric vehicle charging stations for world renowned vehicle manufacturers. These projects will be mainly within, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba areas.

The Laborer will demonstrate attention to detail, ability to adapt to changing working conditions and prioritize safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform additional laborer tasks and duties as assigned
• Follow instruction and adhere to safe work practices
• Lives Forbes Bro. value of WE WORK SAFE & never compromising on safety in all aspects of our every day
• Pouring and finishing concrete
• Operating small equipment and hand tools
• Site setup and cleanup, ensuring trash, debris and potential dangerous materials from the construction site are removed
• Assisting craft/crew members with work
• Carry and move materials as needed
• Spotting for vehicles and equipment
• Placing underground conduit
• Development of skills on varied and challenging tasks

What We Are Looking For

• General knowledge of the principals involved in the operation of construction, maintenance methods and procedures considered an asset
• Ability to travel to various work sites in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba with work hour flexibility to accommodate to remote/site work schedules
• Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of Pre-Access D&A testing, presenting a valid Driver's License and an acceptable five (5) year drivers abstract
• Minimum one (1) years' experience in concrete forming and/or finishing or carpentry is required
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions and environments, inclusive of heavy lifting
