Who You Are

Passionate about architecture and interior design

Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, or ArchiCAD (Sketchup is a bonus)

Experienced with the Mac platform

Knowledge of graphic design and social media tools is an advantage (Pinterest, Tailwind, Canva, IG, etc.)

Excellent design and visual presentation skills

Detail-oriented with an eye for precision

Demonstrated understanding of space planning principles

Able to assist in developing and presenting design concepts

Excellent ability to manage project budgets, personal time commitments as well as team resources

Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills in English

Have a valid driver's license and your own vehicle

What You Will Be Doing

Supporting the Principal and Senior Designer colleagues by working collaboratively to

deliver the client’s goals, requirements and budget for the project

Assisting with all aspects of Interiors, including:

Developing schematic design drawings working either from design concepts sketches provided by the Principal, the Senior Designers, or from design concepts conceived independently

Measuring and drawing up the existing spaces where necessary

Preparing design sketches and presentation materials

Determining overall spatial flow and furniture layout

Developing Interior Elevations and Construction Detail sets (millwork, built-ins, trim profiles, panelling, tile layouts, etc.)

Developing reflected ceiling plans/electrical drawings

Assist with the sourcing of fixtures (plumbing, electrical), appliances, wall finishes, flooring materials, hardware, millwork profiles, colour palette, etc

Assist with the sourcing of furnishings, window coverings, accessories, art, area rugs,

Ordering + co-coordinating delivery of fixtures, furnishings, and accessories

Managing and keeping order-tracking documentation up to date

Liaising with Contractor(s), trades and suppliers where necessary

Reviewing shop drawings (e.g. millwork, cabinetry, custom products)

Managing all aspects of client relationships including all communications and meetings (e.g. phone calls, emails) with clients, and all aspects of site relationships including site review and ongoing communications with contractors

Staging and planning for photography shoots

Assisting with Social media

Organizing office resources materials and samples library

Raising the bar for customer experience, efficiency, and profitability.
