: Investment Fund Salesperson (Contract)
Position Overview:
Dhahabu Associates is a private investment fund in its early stages, it is operated by Mulongo Group Holdings Ltd., a Toronto based private holding company. The fund is looking to invest in listed equities, precious metals and real estate.
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Investment Fund Salesperson. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in promoting and selling investment fund products to prospective clients. As an Investment Fund Salesperson, you will utilise your exceptional interpersonal skills and in-depth knowledge of our investment product to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Responsibilities:
Client Acquisition: Identify and target potential clients, including high-net-worth individuals, institutional investors, and corporations, to expand the client base and generate new business opportunities.
Sales Presentations: Conduct persuasive and informative presentations to effectively communicate the features, benefits, and performance of our investment fund products. Tailor presentations to match the unique needs and objectives of each client.
Consultative Selling: Develop a deep understanding of clients' investment goals, risk tolerance, and financial circumstances. Offer personalised investment recommendations based on their specific requirements.
Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with our fund offerings. Understand the investment strategies, asset allocation, and risk profiles of our fund
Sales Target Achievement: Meet or exceed sales targets
Compliance and Documentation: Ensure investors are accredited
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), CFP (Certified Financial Planner), MBA or Masters in Finance or Economics are advantageous but must have Exempt Market Proficiency Course
Experience: Proven experience in investment fund sales, financial services, or a related field. Experience in relationship management, business development, or wealth management is highly desirable.
Sales Skills: Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships, identify sales opportunities, and close deals.
Financial Knowledge: Deep understanding of investment products, financial markets, and industry trends. Familiarity with various asset classes, risk management techniques, and portfolio construction strategies.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain complex investment concepts in a clear and concise manner. Active listening skills to understand clients' needs and concerns.
Analytical Ability: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyse market data, evaluate investment options, and make informed recommendations.
Ethics and Compliance: Strong ethical standards and adherence to regulatory requirements. Knowledge of relevant securities laws, regulations, and compliance frameworks.
Technology Proficiency: Proficient in using sales and CRM software, investment analysis tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport, influence others, and collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
Results Orientation: Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a drive to achieve targets
Compensation: Commission of 1.5% of amount raised
This role is a contract until our fund goal is met
