Position Overview:
Thomas Fresh is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Inventory Control/System Work order Associate at our Saskatoon location. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting inventory control activities and generating daily work orders in the system for the production Team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring efficient operations and maintaining accurate inventory records at Thomas Fresh.
Responsibilities:
- Weekly inventory count of Fresh produce with a Monthly inventory count of all items.
- Contribute to the management of the work order system, including reviewing work orders and ensuring proper documentation.
- Assist in implementing inventory control strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce stock losses at Thomas Fresh.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in purchasing to help with inventory replenishment, and address supply chain issues.
- Support regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
- Follow established procedures and protocols for inventory control and the Work Order management system at Thomas Fresh.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory transactions and work order statuses.
- Assist in generating reports and analyzing inventory data to support decision-making and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in inventory control or related field is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle numerical data accurately.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and other inventory-related software.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and production software.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree or relevant certification is a plus.
