Intermediate Full Stack Developer

As an Intermediate Full Stack Developer, you will help build new applications and features to enhance the overall experience for our customers. You will be responsible for building apps, code review, refactoring, and helping the team in shipping large-scale applications. You are a guiding voice for developers, who can balance day-to-day workload, with an eye for future improvements of your team and their work. You will display a goal oriented mindset and utilize time management techniques and unwavering focus to ensure completion of your assigned tasks.

What will you do?

• Enhance and optimize performance of applications
• Write clean, well-structured, and efficient code in accordance with best practices and coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during development or in production environments.
• Assist with the design and development process
• Ensure mobile/desktop and multiple browser consistency
• Write code to automate deployment across environments (infrastructure)
• Coach and develop tech skills with team

What skills and experience do you need?

• Expert level knowledge of client-side testing best practices and tooling (we use Jest).
• Highly experienced knowledge of backend development (Node.js, Redis, MongoDB).
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining High Availability systems.
• Skilled in React and Redux.
• Demonstrable history of excelling in a team based collaborative environment.
• Experience with securing applications to common security threats (OWASP Standards).
• Experience with GCP and/or AWS ecosystems.
• Experience with Web/HTTP security controls (CORS, CSP, TLS, etc ...).
• Experience with the Docker ecosystem.
• Experience designing and documenting APIs (we use Node.js, Express, OpenAPI Spec).
• Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in computer science (or equivalent practical experience).
• Familiar with accessibility (WCAG 2) best practices.
• Experience mentoring junior team members, overseeing code quality and evangelizing best practices.
• Experience with FRP & OOP (functional, reactive programming).
• At least two yearsexperience with building and deploying web applications.
• You have strong interpersonal, critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills. Attention to detail.
• Passion for learning new technologies and keeping up with industry trends.
• Proficient with frontend development (Typescript, ES2015-2016 JavaScript, CSS).
