Job Responsibilities:
Installing HVAC systems: HVAC technicians install HVAC systems in new construction or replace old or damaged systems.
Performing routine maintenance: HVAC technicians conduct routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure they operate at peak efficiency. This includes cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, and replacing filters.
Troubleshooting: When HVAC systems break down, HVAC technicians diagnose and repair the problem. They use diagnostic tools to identify issues and repair or replace damaged components.
Providing customer service: HVAC technicians interact with customers regularly, providing them with information about their HVAC systems and explaining what repairs or maintenance is necessary.
Keeping detailed records: HVAC technicians maintain detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and installations they perform to ensure that systems are up to code and operating efficiently.
Staying up to date with industry standards: HVAC technicians keep up to date with the latest industry standards and regulations to ensure that they are performing work safely and effectively.
Requirements:
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience in HVAC service and installations is required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Must possess a valid G2 Gas license.
- Availability to work flexible hours and weekends as needed.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools used in the HVAC trade.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair complex HVAC systems.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to industry standards and regulations.
- Must have a solid understanding of HVAC systems and related equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Possession of a Residential AC Systems Mechanic (313D) license is considered an asset.
