Job Title: Health Care Security Guard

What does a Health Care Security Guard do?


  • Monitoring CCTV systems.
  • Completing daily reports.
  • Responding as necessary to assist and support Community Peace officers.
  • Enforce safety procedures and standards.
  • Helping visitors find their way around the hospital.
  • Assisting clinical staff and Peace Officers physical restraining patients and respond to duress alarms.
  • Preventative patrols, including foot and/or mobile patrol of exterior and interior perimeters.


Qualifications To Become a Health Care Security Guard


  • Valid Alberta Security License.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong de-escalation abilities and problem-solving mindset.
  • Must be able to work 12 hr rotational shifts days and nights.
