Position Summary
BlackBerry is looking for a Full Stack Software Developer to join our Radar team where we are developing technology to help connect devices delivering "Internet-of-Things" experiences to our customers. Our service allows customers to manage their devices, perform software updates, integrate consumer and mobile experiences as well as integrate into other backend systems such as big data analytics. We are looking for enthusiastic developers who love new technologies.

Length of Term: 4 Months
What You Will Do

• Writing unit tests to continually improve quality as well as our ability to introduce features at a rapid pace
• Develop user interfaces for both management of services and applications
• Planning work using agile methodologies
• Develop server side functionality using Javascript on Node.js
• Design and develop full-stack solutions focused on solving use cases all the way from embedded device, web UI, to backend and database.
• Integrating and using leading open source tools such as AngularJS, jQuery, Node.js, Elastic Search and a host of AWS technologies
• Working directly with customers to enable their use cases with our platform

Who We Are Looking For

• High degree of motivation, sense of urgency and ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Tools: Git
• HTML & CSS
• Currently enrolled in post-secondary education in related field
• Databases: Cassandra, ElasticSearch, PostgreSQL, MySQL
• Languages: Javascript, SQL, Elastic Search Query DSL
• Frameworks: Node.js, AngularJS, Express, Mocha, Selenium
• Experience developing web based user interfaces, server-side business logic including database modelling
• Proficient in UNIX/Linux
• Javascript both server side with Node.js and Client side in browsers
