Job Description

Fortinet team has a great career opportunity for a Full Stack Developer within its FortiGuard team, which is responsible for signature release, data mining, and automation test. The new developer will be primarily working on serval new web systems with an emphasis on both front-end and back-end web development.


We are open to candidates who are new graduates, juniors, or intermediate level.


Position: This is a full-time, permanent position


Location: Burnaby, BC (we are working a hybrid model)


Job Responsibilities:

  • Stay on top of new developments in the fields of front-end and back-end web application development
  • Design, research, development and maintenance for web system


Skills Required:

  • Experience with web frameworks (ex. Django, Flask, Express.js)
  • Familiar with JavaScript frameworks (ex. Vue.js, AngularJS, React).
  • Experience with web application/full stack development
  • Experience with Python
  • Familiar with RESTful API design principles
  • Experience with relational databases (ex. MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with building user interfaces using modern web standards
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills


Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with NoSQL databases (ex. Redis, Elasticsearch)
  • Experience with microservices architecture
  • Experience with network topology and security
  • Experience with UI/UX design is a huge bonus
  • Experience with data visualization front-end libraries (ex. D3.js)


Educational Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s or Masters' degree in computer science or related field
