Job Description
We have an immediate opening for a Field Operator reporting to the Foreman and Lead Operator. This is a full-time contract position based out of Hay River Camp, shift 15 on / 13 off, flights based out Edmonton.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist with inventory management for area, source equipment for performing maintenance tasks in accordance with procurement procedures.
  • Perform day-to-day production related activities for area and properties, identify optimization techniques to increase production and/or reduce downtime, coordinate day-to-day operation and upkeep of facilities, roads and pipelines, monitor wells and modify daily route based on downtime, production and risk factors.
  • Ensure field operations follow health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Identify field maintenance needs with the Lead Operator; assist in the development of preventative maintenance plans, procedures and schedules. Coordinate and provide input on downhole repairs, work- overs and facility upgrades.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Safety conscious.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Preferences to individuals with current 4th or 3rd Class Steam Ticket, industry accredited Gas Processing courses, technical diploma or journeyman certificate in a related discipline
  • Input key field data into production reporting system in line with operational requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely capture of field costs and participate in operating cost reduction initiatives.
  • Minimum of 3 years of operating experience with dehydration and refrigeration equipment, compression, high pressure produced water disposal systems, oil separation facilities, artificial lift systems including ESP's and jet pumps.
  • Positive team player that can work in a remote area.
  • Maintenance of rotational equipment.


Required to maintain all safety and regulatory courses First Aid, H2S, WHMIS, TOG, Confined Space, Ground Disturbance and ATV training.


ATV and UTV experience a must.
