As an Equipment Operator, you will primarily be responsible for operating equipment handling soil fabrication and organics management. The Operator is responsible for mixing soil, loading trucks from the ramp, and managing stockpiles at our site in Abbotsford.

• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Mixing soil, loading trucks from ramp, managing stockpiles.
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment as a member of a team.
• Previous relevant experience operating heavy equipment is an required (i.e. excavator, dozer, rock truck, packer, and loader).
• A positive team attitude.
• Inspect and verify product condition to ensure cleanliness and compliance with loading procedures.
• A strong safety mindset.
• Soil fabrication and organics management (biosolids, food waste, yard waste, compost).
• Provide internal and external customer service excellence.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
• Provide feedback to the employer on working conditions and use of equipment to increase the efficiency of the yard, shop, department, or work crew.
• Operate heavy equipment such as excavator, dozer, rock truck, loader, and packer based on qualifications.
• A minimum of 1 year of equipment operating experience.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
• Solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
• Work in adherence to all safe work practices and procedures, as well as all regulatory requirements.
• Experience with routine maintenance operations.
• Experience working with computers is an asset.
• Filling out waybills for customers.
• Mechanically inclined
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment.
