DIGITAL CONTENT SPECIALIST

As the Digital Content Specialist your role is to advocate, evangelize, and build digital content. You have a passion for connecting content to customers, while breathing life into a brands’ voice and personality. You are results driven and skilled at conceptualizing thoughts, feelings and key messages into killer content that is authentic and relatable.

Your day to day may include writing a blog post to position CAA as your road trip essential with a specific market segment, curating content from our magazine, creating compelling landing page copy to drive member acquisition, and overseeing our social media accounts. To cap off your day, you’ll analyze results and build next steps for optimization. You’ll do all of this while collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to make sure the voice of CAA is true to the brand.

Ultimately, you should be able to oversee all marketing content initiatives to ensure customer engagement, brand consistency and a positive customer/member experience.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Maintain CAA’s social media presence across all social media platforms and accounts including, but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop social media and content calendars and to ensure web content adds value and is on brand.
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills with the ability to adapt content based on audience preference.
  • Experience writing content for blog posts, social media, emails, promotional/persuasive landing page content and even website content.
  • Implement and optimize content according to SEO best practices.
  • Basic video and design skills are an asset.
  • Create and execute organic and paid social media marketing efforts. Google ads experience is an asset.
  • Engage with members and potential customers through social channels.
  • Develop content strategy aligned with short and long-term goals and strategic objectives.
  • Provide research and analysis on consumer thoughts and trends to stay relevant with consumer expectations and to improve member experience.
  • Establishing style guides that specify the writing style and tone needed to create engaging content that adheres to the brand.
  • Tracking and calculating content ROI.
  • Produce creative and engaging content to drive brand awareness, generate leads, and connect with CAA’s target audience.


Competencies

  • Editorial competency – you will conduct thorough audits to determine what content should be kept, edited, rewritten, and more.
  • Creative writing and storytelling skills are required.
  • Sound knowledge of content management systems, keyword research tools, social media platforms, search engine optimization (SEO), and search engine marketing (SEM).
  • Experience with Hubspot, Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and analytics an asset.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with an eye for layout/design – design skills would be an asset for this position.
  • Ability to learn quickly, change in a fast-paced environment, and meet tight deadlines.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of related or similar work experience.
  • Post-secondary education, preferable in Marketing, Business Administration, Digital Engagement, or another related field.
  • Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.
