Siding 14 Brewing Company located in Ponoka, Alberta is looking to hire a cellar hand/delivery driver.

The person in this position assists in many aspects of the brewery’s operations — including but not limited to cellaring activities, kegging, bottling, canning, deliveries, taproom beer operations and all related activities. The Cellar Hand is an integral part of our brand ambassador team, meaning he/she will participate in brewery tours, festivals, sales promotions, and other outside activities when required.This position is 32-40 hours per week but flexibility is required for hours of work.

Who is the right candidate?

We need someone who can multi task, think on their feet, and take direction. Heavy lifting is required, as is standing for long periods of time. Some specific tasks include:

• Maintain the facility by performing scheduled cleaning and maintenance
• Conduct all work in a manner that promotes safety and productivity
• Assist in sales facilitation: pick and palletize beer for internal sales staff and distributor relationships
• Receive deliveries
• Assist in weekly, monthly and quarterly physical inventory counts
• Assist in brewhouse operations — cleaning tanks, CIP operations, Brewhouse cleaning and sanitation
• Organize raw ingredients and finished product to facilitate usage and distribution of the freshest beer available
• Materials handling and management — forklift operations, warehouse operations, unloading/loading trucks, pulling grain bills, milling, spent materials handling
• Deliveries (company delivery van is provided)
• Assist in cellaring operations — CO2/DO reading and recordings as directed, cellar equipment cleaning and sanitation as directed, waste disposal as directed
• Safe handling of hazardous chemicals used in both the cleaning and sanitation process ofproduction equipment
• Assist in managing inventory control of kegs, bottles, cases, and associated materials/supplies
• Packaging operations — operate packaging department equipment, including kegging equipment,labeling equipment, canning equipment, and all associated machinery/supplies

***Pro Serve certification and a valid class 5 drivers license with a clean drivers abstract are required.
