Job Description

PrecisionERP/IT is hiring a Data Visualization consultant for our Business Transformation Projects for a 3-4 month HYBRID contract with our client in Regina, Saskatchewan (Canada)


The Data Visualization consultant will support the IT program by providing Data Visualization services to create optimized, impactful and accurate visualizations of Business Intelligence information based on a broad range of data sets. The Data Visualization consultant will also participate code reviews in support of continuous improvement of data visualization development and to help improve our Business Intelligence and analytics capabilities. The Data Visualization consultant will functionally report to the IT Director to ensure client standards and delivery methods are leveraged and will be accountable to the Project Manager(s) for the successful delivery of the project when being assigned to projects.


Duties and Responsibilities:

 Assist with problem analysis and problem definition. Lead and/or assist with the development of queries and reports based on stakeholder requirements.

 Create, debug and optimize complex queries.

 Test queries and reports and validate the accuracy of the results.

 Configure queries and reports to meet requirements and client standards.

 Participate in the improvement of data visualization / BI services

 Work effectively and efficiently with other project team members and other Data Visualization resources.


REQUIRED SKILLS:

 Minimum three (3) years of direct experience in the role of a Data Visualization Expert.

 Experience with on premises Microsoft BI Stack; o PowerBI o SSRS o SQL Management Studio.

 Experience with version control.

 Experience writing, debugging and optimizing complex queries.

 Experience validating query results for accuracy.

 Proven ability to analyze complex problems and find innovative solutions.

 Experience with code reviews and other software quality assurance activities.

 Demonstrated interpersonal, management, and communication skills.
