About the Role


Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, we are looking for a Creative Manager who will be responsible for managing all phases of creative development work from concept to completion. Oversees a design team of 5 responsible for the creation of art, photo, copy, and layout for creative projects, implements policies and standards that reinforce the organization's branding strategy and quality goals, acts as project manager ensuring the design team is meeting all their deadlines and supports the funneling and prioritization of tasks within the team to ensure strong work flow. The successful candidate will have a customer service mindset and will be working in collaboration with several internal partners & customers who help us bring our vision to life!


Responsibilities:


  • Contribute creative solutions and innovations that strengthen the design teams outputs and contributes to the broader Marketing teams successes
  • Continuously improve Creative methods, problem solving models, and best practices
  • Ensure all creative work is user-friendly and creates a strong consumer experience
  • Proactively manage the success of production scope, schedules, and budgets
  • Act as the internal agency lead providing guidance, support and expectation setting on all requests
  • Provide regular team leadership and constructive feedback
  • Establish and maintain creative and art direction across creative projects. Ensuring direction is consistent and inline with brand standards and brand strategy
  • Develop, monitor, and modify the business unit creative department staffing strategies and plans, including team composition, performance, skills, training, and mentoring
  • Lead and partner with multidisciplinary teams
  • Develop, implement, and monitor quality standards across all creative artifacts and deliverables
  • Effectively communicate creative ideas and strategies to all project stakeholders
  • Ensure work completed addresses internal customer needs and business goals


Requirements & Skills:

  • Strong writing and editorial abilities
  • Results-oriented professional with a high degree of initiative and autonomy
  • Proactive in recognizing and identifying need and opportunities for improvement
  • Ability to gather input, negotiate and work through new challenges effectively
  • Strong understanding of design programs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high level of accuracy
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage conflicting priorities to meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain rapport with all levels of the organization quickly
  • Ability to partner with leaders/partners in the organization to move marketing initiatives forward
  • Solid understanding and appreciation for the distinction between creative expression and commercial reality
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly organized and able to manage a high volume of work in a high energy environment
  • 4+ years design, marketing, or communications interactive work and art direction experience
  • 4+ years visual communication education
