Content and Social Media Specialist
Job Summary
The Content & Social Media Specialist (CSMS) is responsible for bringing forward creative and innovative thinking to drive community engagement across all Pure Flavor® digital channels. The successful candidate will be a catalyst in moving the Pure Flavor® digital content strategy into new territory while effectively assisting in special events and key brand projects. A natural storyteller, they are capable of building and promoting our company’s core identity (fueling healthy lives) across all social & digital media platforms as well as through related community activations. The successful candidate will develop and maintain but not limited to blogs, video feeds, trending social networking sites and resource centers. The CSMS loves everything fresh, is digitally driven, passionate about creating connections, and understands the power of influence. This candidate will have a demonstrated history of working in a fast-paced environment while delivering multiple projects on schedule and on budget.
Duties And Responsibilities
  • Efficiently manages project tasks; tracking of all initiatives, work collaboratively with the sales & marketing teams.
  • Establish KPI’s and develop reports on social engagements, SEO/SEM experience an asset.
  • Work collaboratively to support the Pure Flavor® influencer & content creator program.
  • Other core expectations as defined by the company.
  • Assist in the development & execution of all related marketing initiatives to grow the Pure Flavor® brand.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of special events, trade shows, and other community related activities as needed.
  • Plan and implement Social Media Marketing (SMM) organic & paid campaigns; capture, edit, and publish timely on-brand content while coordinating initiatives with internal stakeholders & agency partners; master social media tools to create monthly reports.
  • Facilitate online conversations with customers, respond to queries.
  • Develop & write relevant brand content to engage with a diverse audience; themed to product specific messaging, be able to create a tone of authority to further establish the brand as a leader in the fresh produce industry.
  • Generate and bring forward new ideas and approaches to all aspects of the role.
  • Review and approve content on a daily basis; analyze metrics & trends to optimize content.
  • Build and execute and effective social media strategies through research, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification to execute Pure Flavor®’s ‘Live Deliciously®’ brand platform; monitor the pulse of the Pure Flavor® brand through digital & community engagement initiatives.
Requirements And Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in marketing, Business Administration, Communications or digital media preferred.
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work in a team; possess analytical skills, result-oriented, team player, with the confidence to take the lead and guide other departments when necessary.
  • Hands-on experience with Sprout, HubSpot, TeamworkPM (or other digital project management tools).
  • Microsoft Office savvy; digital analytics certifications an asset - working knowledge of Adobe CC beneficial, including Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere.
  • Digital marketing lover; has a strong understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics; Google certifications an asset.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, Flickr etc.) and how they can be deployed; experience with re-marketing campaigns.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, time management and organizational skills; ability to manage several projects/multi-tasks concurrently with daily competing priorities and staggered deadlines.
  • Five or more (5+) years’ experience in social media marketing, brand communications, public relations, digital media, event management & promotion, community management; agency experience considered an asset.
  • Exceptional writing & storytelling skills supported by strong management, organizational and analytical skills; a keen eye for detail is necessary - assist with proofreading or editing other content before publishing.
  • Experience with doing audience and buyer persona research.
  • Familiarity with photography and videography for use in social graphics and content.
Working conditions
  • Conditions typically found in an office setting; role routinely uses standard office equipment.
  • Available to work flexible hours; ability and willingness to travel.
  • The employee will need to listen and talk to other employees as well.
  • Specific vision capabilities required; employee is to work in front of a computer, sitting for prolonged periods required.
