We are looking for a full-time person willing to start as soon as possible. To match our company culture, this person must have a positive attitude, be self motivated, ethical, hardworking without ego and able to work well with others. Candidates with Red Seal certification and previous experience will be given preference.

The Job:

The Machinist is responsible for operating the CNC equipment to produce high quality precision components.

Duties are as follows:

• Reading and interpreting engineered drawings & machining to exact specification
• Assist to ensure garbage is removed and work sites, tools and surfaces are clean
• Performing regular maintenance on machines and tools
• Report to the Machinist Team Leader for tasks, reporting and guidance.
• Operating CNC milling and turning machines safely and efficiently
• Ensuring clean and tidy work area to maintain quality & efficiency
• Determine tooling & work-holding setups to best perform machining operations
• Contribute to continuous improvement ideas for better workflow, efficiency, and performance results
• Daily organization, maintain tools, jigs, equipment, and materials in excellent working order

The successful candidate will have:

• Great attention to detail
• Ability to lift 50Ibs
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment where tasks may vary throughout your day
• Good mechanical & mathematical aptitude

Assets:

• Knowledge of GD&T
• Any level of the Red Seal Machinist trades program
• Experience using HAAS controllers and G-code
• Know how to adjust cutting speeds and feeds according to materials being used
• Experience using precision measurement tools

Wage to be negotiated based on previous relevant experience.
