This is to staff 1 permanent, full-time position working 75 hours bi-weekly, in Whitehorse Yukon.
This position provides operational and strategic leadership for Whitehorse’s Walk-in Clinic (WIC). The WIC will serve Yukoners of all ages and will be a place where clients/patients can access primary health and wellness services.
This position manages the day–to-day operation of the WIC and provides direct supervision of WIC staff, closely collaborates with clinicians and allied health staff (both contract and Government of Yukon employees), and liaises with key partners to ensure excellent care for all WIC clients/patients. The WIC Manager contributes to an environment that is inclusive, non-discriminatory, and physically, psychologically, and culturally safe.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have substantial and recent experience providing oversight and operational direction in a health clinic setting. They will be a strong leader who is able to foster collaborative working relationships in an interdisciplinary team setting. This position will report to the Director of Integrated Health Services.

Essential Qualifications

• Currently registered and in good standing with a Canadian regulatory authority for a profession related to the post-secondary education requirements noted above if applicable;
• Experience in the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of clinical programs;
• A post-secondary degree with a clinical practice component in health sciences, social sciences or other related field;
• Significant management experience in a community setting or a combination of community, hospital and public health setting; primary care experience an asset;
• Experience working with a diverse population;
• Experience working with an interdisciplinary team;

Candidates who have education, training and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

Conditions of employment

• WHMIS 2015 (completed within one month of hire).
• Vulnerable Sector RCMP security clearance;
• Valid CPR Basic Life Support;
• TB screening;
• Current registration in good standing with a Canadian regulatory authority (if applicable)

Job Requirements

• May be required to participate in an afterhours schedule to support clinic services outside of regular business hours.
