Job Title: Child and Youth Worker

Location: Durham Region (Ajax, Pickering, Scarborough, Oshawa)

Job Type: Full-time/Part-time/Contract

Shifts: Morning, Evening and Overnight

Agile Healthcare Solutions, a leading staffing agency in the healthcare industry, is currently seeking a Child and Youth Worker to join our team in Durham Region (Ajax, Pickering, Scarborough, and Oshawa), Ontario. The Child and Youth Worker will work with children and youth in a variety of settings to provide support and assistance.

Responsibilities:

• Attend and participate in team meetings, trainings, and other related activities as required
• Work with children and youth to develop and implement individual care plans based on their needs and goals
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support as needed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and activities
• Foster positive relationships with children and youth and their families, as well as with other members of the care team
• Provide support and assistance to children and youth in areas such as emotional regulation, communication, and problem-solving

Requirements:

• Immunization record
• Worker Health and Safety Certificate
• Medical with 6 months valid including TB test
• UMAB (Understanding and Managing Aggressive Behavior) current certified
• Vulnerable Sector Check Valid
• Diploma or degree in Child and Youth Care or a related field
• AODA Certificate
• 3 References from Direct Supervisor
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with children and youth in a residential or community setting
• Valid CPR certification
