Paid RoommateBurnaby Association for Community Inclusion (BACI) is a community based non-profit agency that has been supporting people with developmental disabilities and their families for over 65 years. BACI is looking for people who are interested sharing their home and providing support to a person with a developmental disability – we call this Life Sharing and it is a contracted position. Your role is to:Share your life and home with a person with disabilities.Provide a safe and healthy environment.To teach and support daily living, a healthy lifestyle, and ways to make connections in their community.Be available to the person for various daily needs.BACI is looking for a paid roommates/ life sharing providers to move into a cool, new apartment in Vancouver on Main Street and provide some support to a person with a disability. We are currently looking for roommates for two separate individuals, one male and one female. They are both active with their own programs during the day. They are both fun to be around, like to explore their community, enjoy traveling, and want to spend time with people that share similar interests. They need your support more in the evenings and weekends so you can still go to school and work during the day. They both have vibrant and very-involved personal networks.These are contractor positions which means you'll be paid as a contractor (not an employee) - ranging from $2300-$3000 per month.
