E.A.T is accepting applications for a full-time barista to work Monday to Friday, occasionally on weekends for special events, with shifts available from 7 am to 4 pm. The Barista provides customers with excellent customer service and efficiently prepares high-quality coffees and other beverages. The barista's primary responsibilities are to know the standard drink recipes and be able to prepare them quickly and accurately. Cashier Baristas take drink orders, serve beverages, and collect money. Additionally, fill drink orders placed by servers for customers to be served. The Barista arranges ingredients, dairy products and barware, washes glasses, and cleans the coffee bar. Baristas stock the bar by bringing coffee beans, teas, flavouring ingredients, and other bar supplies from the storeroom to the coffee bar. Also, the barista is tasked with ensuring the general cleanliness of the Market and other duties as required.


What We Are Looking For


  • A minimum of two years of direct customer service experience is required
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong knowledge of retail sales principles, methods, practices and techniques
  • Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers
  • Ability to work individually and as a part of a team
  • Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
  • Ability to make excellent sales to achieve performance in alignment with organizational goals and objectives
  • Motivated and creative team player
  • Ability to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures
  • High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent preferred
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of integrity and work ethic
  • This position will spend 100% of the time standing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Must transport up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 35 pounds regularly.
  • Exposure to scalding and icy liquids, barware etc.
  • Manual dexterity is required to use desktop computers and peripherals.
  • Excellent listening skills
