Position Overview: Martin Chrysler LTD, a reputable and family-owned automotive dealership established in 1944, is seeking an experienced and skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our dedicated team. As an Automotive Mechanic at Martin Chrysler LTD, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high-quality standards of our dealership's service department. Your expertise and commitment to delivering exceptional automotive repair and maintenance services will contribute to our long-standing reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Keep accurate records of all repairs, services performed, and parts used, maintaining an organized and efficient work environment.
- Follow manufacturer's guidelines and specifications for repairs and maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety standards and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with Service Advisors to communicate repair options, estimated costs, and timeframes to customers, providing exceptional customer service throughout the process.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior mechanics, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster skill development within the team.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and address issues in vehicles accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
- Perform a wide range of automotive repairs and maintenance tasks, including engine diagnostics, brake system repairs, suspension work, electrical troubleshooting, and more.
- Conduct routine maintenance services, such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements, to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in automotive repair to enhance your skill set and contribute to continuous improvement within the department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; formal technical training or certification from an accredited automotive program is highly preferred.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in performing repairs and conducting maintenance tasks.
- Solid understanding of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical components.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to customers and team members.
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic, with a minimum of 1 years in the field.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and specialized tools common in the automotive repair industry.
- ASE certification or equivalent is a plus.
- Commitment to safety protocols and industry regulations, ensuring a secure and compliant work environment.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, capable of identifying and addressing complex automotive issues.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.

Salary: $15.00-$42.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

- Brooks, AB T1R 0Y6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Automotive technician: 1 year (preferred)
