Position Description

Seeking an experienced Azure Analytics architect & developer.

· Responsible for designing end to end data analytics pipelines utilizing the Azure platform

· Responsible for ETL processes design specification and documentation.

· Data modeling and report development utilizing Microsoft Synapse, Power BI or Databricks.

· Ensures that best practices are followed.

· Support development of test cases for unit and integration testing.

· Working with large volumes of data, designing solutions to increase performance and reduce resource consumption.

Mandatory Experience

4+ years of experience as an Analytics Developer utilizing Azure platform.

Experience working with the following applications:

- Power BI

- Azure Synapse

- Data Factory

- Azure DevOps (Repo's/Pipelines)

- Cosmos DB's

- Azure SQL DB's

- Databricks

Experience working with Agile SCRUM methodology.

Desired Experience

Experience working with the following applications also considered an asset;

- SAP Business Warehouse

- Electric Office

- Splunk

Deliverables

Analysis

• Identify gaps between project requirement and data available.

• Assess security requirement

• Collect business metadata information

• Identify tasks and provide estimates to the project manager

Detailed Requirements Definition (design)

• Prepare reports design specification.

• Identify feasibility and impacts on current environment.

• Ensure that best practices are followed

Test Case Development

• Development test cases for reports and dashboards

Build

• Build reports and dashboards by following best practices.

• Provide technical metadata definition.

Test Result

• Execute unit test plan and provide results reports

Warranty Support

• Provide level 3 support on analytics solutions
