About This Position
We are currently looking to add a Financial Analyst within our Accounting department. The Analyst role will be a strong supporting partner to the team, closely managing and providing analysis on the various revenue streams and monthly financial reporting. This team member will also have the ability to help in the development of a more efficient accounting processes though automation. The ideal candidate must be hands on, have excellent organizational and people management skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. We are a relationship-oriented business, and strong relationship and partnering skills are vital to this role. Previous work experience as an Analyst or in accounting and experience in the insurance brokerage or a related industry is preferred.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Compile and analyze financial and operational data relating to client billing for employee benefits managed and invoiced by our agency.
  • Prepare various financial reports and journal entries.
  • Tracking and analyzing commission receipts through our operating system.
  • Collaborate and assist with the implementation of an automated invoicing system.
  • Perform other tasks or projects as needed/assigned.
  • Complete all required company training and compliance courses as needed.
  • Assist with month end closing processes.
  • Adhere to client service standards of the department and agency.

Education/Experience
  • Insurance brokerage/related industry accounting background, preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or the recognized equivalent in education and experience, preferred.
  • Experience in an accounting, auditing and/or financials analysis a must.
