Water Treatment Technician Jobs

4-8 years engineering and project management experience

Complete project management of industrial wastewater and potable water treatment system design and manufacturing projects, with support from senior managers

Develop budget estimates for senior review and budget tracking/management

Work with the management team to allocate McCue resources: personnel and equipment

Report writing or complete first review of reports prepared by project team for submission to senior management

Communication with Directors, management, engineers, workers, clients and subcontractors will be a critical part of this position

Previous experience working in a remote camp would be an asset;

Operates and maintains Wastewater Treatment plants and related systems in remote camp settings;

Completes and submits all associated paperwork, as required, for regulatory and safety record keeping requirements.

Willing to travel away from home up to two weeks at a time;

Minimum Wastewater Treatment Level I Certification (Alberta or equivalent) required, Level II certification preferred;

Water Treatment Level I Certification (Alberta or equivalent) is an asset;

Monitor and control the water treatment facility to ensure performance objectives are achieved and reporting requirements are met

Diploma or degree in Engineering or Sciences, or an equivalent combination of training and water treatment experience

Previous experience with Programmable Logic Controllers and Human Machine Interface systems is considered an asset

Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures

Ensure compliance with British Columbia legislation as it relates to mine water treatment facilities

Conduct sampling and support third party contractors on the collection, preparation, and delivery of samples to the laboratory, including hazardous waste

Self-motivated and be able to work well independently.

Motivated by achievement with an internal drive to succeed.

Reliable self-owned transportation to get to/from pre-arranged appointments.
