Overview:

Rock Drillers are responsible for drilling and blasting operations in mining, quarrying, and construction sites. They use specialized equipment to bore holes into rock and other hard surfaces. They must be knowledgeable about safety protocols and be able to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams. Rock Drillers must be physically fit and able to work in extreme conditions.

How To Become an Rock Driller:

To become a Rock Driller, you will need to complete a vocational training program in drilling and blasting operations. You will also need to obtain a valid driver’s license and pass a background check. Additionally, you may need to obtain certification from the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA).
