Maintenance Lead Hand Jobs

Effective management and scheduling of the Maintenance Department.

Maintain documentation to ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements

Strong organizational skills with ability to execute responsibilities and prioritize in a multitask

Education / Certifications: Engineering Degree preferred ( Mechanical, Elecrical or chemical)

Daily communication with staff and crews for day-to-day requirements.

Manage and/or assist with equipment and capital project installation as required.

Utilize reliability knowledge as it pertains to mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, process

Track work requests and manage maintenance priorities.

• Lead and supervise the maintenance mechanics, millwrights, and electricians

• Licensed Millwright or Licensed Electrician

• Strong technical / troubleshooting background

3-5 years of related experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment.

Solid hands-on experience with heavy-duty machinery, electronics and hydraulics is preferred.

Previous supervisory experience an asset.

Performs maintenance duties including, but not limited to, mechanical, minor electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing equipment.

High level knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology of OSB manufacturing

Problem solving and decision making skills

Actively leads safety awareness through effective toolbox talks and daily safety discussions.

Ensuring that good housekeeping and safe work practices are followed in the shop and on all job sites

Participating in the development of the department budget and long-term budgeting and planning.

Identifying potential causes of accidents, making safety and housekeeping inspections, and resolving individual and team problems.

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to direct the work of others while maintaining composure in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication skills, able to speak and read English

First Aid trained or willing to obtain certification

Basic computer skills including Excel and Word

Contributes to a healthy work environment, while maintaining high food safety and health and safety standards

Oversees and directs the daily work in support of the Production Supervisor
