Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program required.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the applicable policy.

This position is non-conforming; includes weekends and associated stats.

Knowledge of and dutifully follows radiation safety practices for the protection of the patient, colleagues and their own occupational dose.

Must have past experience in Emergency, Operating Room and Portable Radiology.

Perform all x-ray exams as per determined departmental protocols.

Includes general x-ray, O.R., Portables, Gastric exams, Fluoroscopy and minor procedures

Complete exam process by image review, confirming documentation and presenting to radiologists for reporting via film and/or PACS.

Must be registered and in good standing with CMRITO. CAMRT is preferred.

Must have good physical and mental health to meet the requirements of the position.

Ability to deal capably and ethically with a variety of personnel, patients, family, physicians, nurses and students.

Must have clerical aptitude and ability to effectively maintain records and reports related to the position.

Recent, related, experience is an asset.

Current Emergency nursing experience preferred.

Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program required.

Appropriate Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) certification for program area is an asset.

Nursing care knowledge related to clinical area.

Recent respiratory medicine and thoracic surgical experience preferred.

Recent experience with mechanically ventilated patients preferred.

Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral

Experise in the establishment and management of IV's in patients is required.

Recent related clinical nursing experience is preferred.

Current B.L.S. certification at the Targeted Responder Level Required.
