Four years of related culinary supervisory experience in a fast-paced production-oriented environment.

Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls and presentation.

Basic supervisory skills, capable of motivating, leading and developing associates.

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Assist the Culinary Director in the unit, taking over the Culinary Directors’ duties in his/her absence.

Assist the Culinary Director with inventories, pricing, cost controls, requisitioning, and issuing supplies and equipment for food production.

Previous leadership experience in a full-service restaurant or bar

Executing menu items according to company specifications in both prep and line areas

Managing sales and profit budgets

Salaried position, based on experience plus 4% vacation pay

Minimum 3 years of cooking experience

Oversee all areas of ordering, preparation, cooking and serving

Physically demanding, heavy lifting involved, weekend work would be required

Staff meals and uniforms provided

The ability to lead and supervise 5-10 employees at a time

Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations. Ensure perfectly executed kitchen operations through training, mentoring, assisting, and supporting kitchen staff members.

Minimum five (5) years progressive experience in high caliber restaurant.

Previous culinary supervisory work experience.

Previous up-selling and/or sales experience is considered an asset.
