5 years of management and supervisory experience (at least 2 years supervising/managing a quality system in a complex/matrix organization, required

Manage (including planning) the audit process to monitor the quality system and compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.

Assist leadership of QA to develop, distribute and maintain regular management reports.

Certification related to quality control (RAC, Six-Sigma, etc.), preferred

Coordinate ISO registration - as applicable - and other compliance activities.

Establish, maintain and continuously improve the overall quality system.

Minimum of five (5) + years previous supervisory or management experience in a related industry required.

Assist operations management with process equipment and product/package troubleshooting and innovation

Implement, monitor and improve QHSE management system within the department

Knowledge and Experience in Food Safety & Quality Assurance required

Proven experience as a quality assurance manager or relevant role

Experience in certification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)

Provides on-going support to ensure a state of control and compliance with requirements and specifications is achieved.

Experience leading unionized employees is an asset.

Demonstrated analytical problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Proven effective interpersonal, facilitation, presentation, written and verbal communication skills.

Conduct annual internal audits for Food Safety and Quality, and communicate the findings to plant management.

Collaborate with Quality, Operations, and other departments to develop and uphold robust Food Safety and Quality Systems.

Ensure continuous adherence to provincial and federal regulations and programs.

Take the lead in Food Safety and Quality audits conducted by customers, governmental agencies, or third parties.

Implement and enforce compliance with all aspects of the Quality Systems and Food Safety Systems.

Bachelor in Food Science, or a related discipline (Microbiology, Chemistry, and Biotechnology).

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

·Comprehensive knowledge of CFIA, HACCP, Pre-requisites and SSOP requirements

Strong hands-on experience at conducting microbiological testing on poultry products?

Oversee lab equipment management, including maintenance, calibration, repair and replacement as well as determining new equipment requirements.

Good knowledge of Health & Safety regulatory and legal requirements

Quality Assurance Manager – Part Time,
