Practical experience with seniors; patience and tactfulness in relating to residents, family members, volunteers, visitors, physicians and the general public.

Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in assisting residents with their activities of daily living.

Assist in dressing residents giving consideration of the abilities of the resident, allowing them to do what they can unassisted.

Attend regular in-service education as provided by Touchmark.

High School Diploma or GED

Function within the limits of your own experience and knowledge, while practicing safely and competently within the job description.

Previous caregiving experience is an asset.

Clinical experience 1+ years of full-time clinical nursing or nursing education experience (or the equivalent in part-time experience).

Provide initial skill demonstration in theory class, supervise skill practice, and assess skills for competency as needed.

Plan, modify, and implement individual educational plans.

Clinical experience in a rural setting is an asset.
